Clinic SettingWelcome to my website. I know the prospect of going to see a therapist can feel a bit daunting the first time, so it is important to me that you feel as relaxed as possible. In my therapy room are plants, books, low lighting and a peaceful atmosphere to make your visit even more enjoyable. I have a library of personal development books that can be borrowed on request. This is your chair for all forms of therapy.  When you first arrive we discuss the results of your confidential questionnaires and I ask you a few more questions to get to know you better. All is kept in the strictest of confidence. You also have the opportunity to ask me any further questions. When your questions have been answered satisfactorily I invite you to recline in the chair and relax. If you choose to have hypnotherapy you relax in a leather recliner, a blanket is draped over you as your body tempertaure dips with the natural state of deep relaxation. Headphones are put on or not if you prefer. Soft instrumental music is played in the background and I talk quietly to you in my microphone as you are guided to relax your mind and body throughout the session. The hypnotherapy itself usually lasts between 30 and 45 minutes but many think it is merely moments as they become so relaxed they lose all track of time. At the end of the session there is a count up where you become fully wide awake, alert and clear. Then I offer suggestions/homework for you to do before the next appointment. This may be, for instance, CBT, keeping a journal or implementing the new strategies. The large oak table is accompanied by luxurious leather chairs where couple counselling or family therapy takes place.  It is my aim for your session to be as pleasurable as possible and for you to have a beneficial experience, helping you to reach your goals and achieve your true potential.
